It was another quiet evening in Britain for the young youtuber. The skies were clear, stars shone brighter than the street lamps below them. He sighed heavily, the bags under his eyes adding an extra 20 pounds each, making him feel slower than usual. It hadn't always been like this for him though. Yes, he had always had trouble sleeping, but this exhaustion stemmed from recent events in his life. From his youtube channel to the recent departure of his girlfriend, sleep seemed almost impossible for him. Rubbing his eyes in an attempt to wake up, he glanced at the clock at the bottom of his screen. 1 am. Lovely.

Pulling up his skype, the Brit smiled softly at who was currently online. Of course, almost all of his American friends were online, but one name in particular always caught his eye. Mark. Just looking at his name, he could see his friend before him, as clear as day. His fir body, his perfectly coiffed mane of raven hair, his sparkling orbs full of life, complimented by a smile as bright as the sun. With his heart skipping with childish glee, the Brit sent his friend a message, hoping to chat with him. Perhaps a friendly voice was what he needed to help with his sleep. He then got an idea, one that would potentially be awkward to ask, but at the same time, it could be the answer to his problem.

Much to his elation, Mark answered almost immediately, the question of calling asked in an instant. Of course the Brit accepted, eager to hear and see his friend again, even if it was over skype. It had been so long since their last proper conversation, and even longer since they had met in person. As the generic ring of skype filled his bedroom, he instantly clicked on the button, Mark's face filling his screen, his smile taking up almost half alone.

"Hey Aaron! How have you been buddy?"

"I've been alright,  I suppose. Sleep's hard to come by, but then again, when hasn't it been?"

"Yeah... Hey Yami, if you don't mind me asking, are you not sleeping well because of... you know... her?"

"Kind of... It has been a bit lonelier here... Hey Mawk, could I ask for a favor?"

"Of course buddy! Ask away!"

"Now, I know this may seem a little stupid, but do you think that you could... that you could sing to me? I-I I've always liked your voice, and you sing really well.. And well, I, uh, I want to see if it could help me sleep, y'know..."

Yami looked away from the screen, his cheeks dusted rose, although it was difficult to tell with the lighting in his room, as the only light came from his computer screen. Mark stared at his friend, surprised at the request. The way Yami acted while asking the question made the youtuber's heart melt. Yami was acting as shy as a teenager asking a girl out for the first time.

"I would love to sing for you man. Just promise me something, alright?"

"Like what?"

"Take care of yourself, please. I don't want to see you fall apart, especially since I can't be there to help build you back up. I'll so my best from here, but don't ever give up, ok? And also, we need to see each other again! I miss you man.."

"I promise that I'll take care of myself Mawk.."

"Good. Now, do you have a request?"

"Surprise me."

"Ok. Now hop into bed, and I'll pull up a song. It may take a minute, I need to find the perfect song for you baby!"

Yami blushed as he obeyed, turning the volume down to a decent level, so that the neighbors wouldn't complain. He then grabbed his pillows, moving them to the opposite end of the bed, so that he could lay closer the computer. Pulling the sheets onto himself, Yami laid on his stomach as he glanced at the screen, watching as Mark scrolled through what he assumed were either songs on youtube or song lyrics.

Mark grinned as he stopped on a song, clearing his throat as he looked it over. He didn't know the words by heart, but it was such a well known song that it wouldn't be hard to keep up with it.

"You comfy buddy?"

Yami nodded, his face half buried in his pillow as he looked away from the screen. As much as he would have loved to watch Mark sing, there was no way to do that without being at an uncomfortable angle. Seeing that Yami was settled, Mark started up the song, which the Brit couldn't hear. He would only hear Mark's beautiful voice echoing in his small bedroom.

"Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City?
I'm a thousand miles away
But girl, tonight you look so pretty
Yes you do
Times Square can't shine as bright as you
I swear it's true

Hey there Delilah
Don't you worry about the distance
I'm right there if you get lonely
Give this song another listen
Close your eyes
Listen to my voice, it's my disguise
I'm by your side

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me

Hey there Delilah
I know times are getting hard
But just believe me, girl
Someday I'll pay the bills with this guitar
We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would
My word is good

Hey there Delilah
I've got so much left to say
If every simple song I wrote to you
Would take your breath away
I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me

A thousand miles seems pretty far
But they've got planes and trains and cars
I'd walk to you if I had no other way
Our friends would all make fun of us
and we'll just laugh along because we know
That none of them have felt this way
Delilah I can promise you
That by the time we get through
The world will never ever be the same
And you're to blame

Hey there Delilah
You be good and don't you miss me
Two more years and you'll be done with school
And I'll be making history like I do
You'll know it's all because of you
We can do whatever we want to
Hey there Delilah here's to you
This one's for you

Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
Oh it's what you do to me
What you do to me."

His voice was deep, soothing, and memorizing. Mark hit the notes perfectly, and even without the music, Yami found himself lost in the other's voice. As Mark finished the song, he glanced at the Brit's body, smiling as he saw his chest rise and fall slowly, his mind now peacefully resting as he slept. Mark then muted himself, so that he wouldn't wake the other, watching him for a few moments, his heart strings replaying the rhythm. He had chosen that song for a reason. He just wished that he could tell Yami how he felt about him, and Mark hoped that song could hint at those deep feelings. But little did he know, Yami had been feeling the same way about him. Mark sighed, longing etched in his voice as he closed the call, leaving the Brit to rest. Perhaps they could do this again. He would have to ask Yami when he awoke from his refreshing slumber.
This was written in like 30 minutes at 11 at night~ :XD:
